Drei Donà Tenuta La Palazza

Cuvèe del fondatore

GRAF NOIR

…THE ESSENCE

The soul of our terroir and the revolutionary dream of the man who imagined it come together in this wine that is now dedicated to him. It comes from the union of the best selections of red grapes from the family estate, a super selection that takes place only in certain vintages that are considered significant, or that we particularly liked, to express through this blend the highest dimension of Tenuta la Palazza’s terroir. In each vintage the proportions of the grapes are different even to the point of excluding some grapes from the blend altogether in certain vintages. The wine is then aged at length to translate its most authentic essence. It is produced in extremely limited quantities and in numbered bottles.

The horse to whom this wine is dedicated – Graf Noir – was the father of the first foal born on our estate’s small farm. He was a beautiful stallion, black, huge, powerful. He looked you straight in the eye, proud, elegant and unafraid of anything.
